“Our family has gone through a lot trying to sell our old three decker in MA so we could move on with our lives in another state. Investors kept offering us in the very beginning far, far below what we knew we could sell it for… even daring to offer as low as $130,000. People (friends!) who knew us would hear we were selling, look at our house, and say “there’s too much work, I wouldn’t pay more than $100,000”. We knew there was only about $80,000 worth of work to do and it would have been worth $400,000 fixed, but of course we couldn’t fix it so we knew $200,000 would absolutely be fair, we decided to hold out and go with a Dave Ramsey recommended sellers agent. Beatriz Gomez was AWESOME and fought for us, along with Melissa and Donna and all their advice as we dealt with a holdover tenant who was preventing the closing (understandably as I wouldn’t want to buy a property with someone refusing to pay or leave either)-that was entirely the tenant’s fault. They were so encouraging and so helpful and we eventually sold the house with Beatriz for the $200,000 we had hoped for. We are so thankful we ignored the investors in the beginning (when we were so desperate and weak willed) and went with Beatriz! We will forever be grateful, and if anyone from MA ever asks for a seller, we will always give them Beatriz’s contact info! As for the impact this has had on our lives (Beatriz, we want you and others to know the good work you have done!) We we’re able to use most of the money to pay off most of our new mortgage-so we will be mortgage free in 3 years max if we only pay the minimum. We are 34 and 35, so this means freedom is around the corner to just be with our kids. Getting the right realtor (Beatriz is the right one!!!) has a MAJOR impact on your life, your future, your children. It is not a small decision-do not be tempted to go with an investor just because you are desperate, or with just any realtor- go with Beatriz!”
